Consumer demand for higher speeds and more data has increased dramatically over the past 18 months. North American cable operators are upgrading their networks to meet these demands. At the heart of the outside plant is GaN technology from Qorvo. GaN power amplifiers are delivering the performance necessary to keep HFC plants operational for many years to come. In this session we will look at the evolution of CATV power amplifiers, highlight the GaN advantages of linearity and efficiency and how that relates to HFC network performance.
