KYOCERA AVX is a leading global manufacturer of advanced electronic components, including antennas and crystal oscillators, engineered to accelerate technological innovation and build a better future. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera Corporation, KYOCERA AVX has an expansive global footprint comprised of several dozen research, development, and manufacturing facilities spanning more than 15 countries and staffed with talented personnel dedicated to innovation, component quality, customer service, and enabling a brighter future through technology.
Supplying more than one million antennas per day, KYOCERA AVX is an industry-leading supplier of innovative antenna solutions, covering all major frequency bands and applications. KYOCERA AVX antennas utilize a wide array of materials -including LDS, stamped metal, ceramic, PCB, and FPC- to support a variety of custom and standard configurations (external indoor/outdoor, embedded on/off-board). KYOCERA AVX state-of-the-art global design centers support customers from the concept phase to mass production, including validation and pre-certification testing.
9002305L0-L01K “Tulip Antenna”
KYOCERA AVX's 9002305L0, also referred to as the 'Tulip', is designed for use both on-board and on-ground (operational over metal), optimized for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications covering frequencies from 6.0 to 8.5GHz. Manufactured through Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) technology, this method facilitates the creation of a three-dimensional pattern design. With its compact dimensions of 6.40 x 6.40 x 5.52mm, the antenna is suitable for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly. Its design aims to provide an omni-directional radiation pattern and, crucially, a consistent phase across the antenna to enhance the accuracy of UWB systems.
The 9002305L0 antenna demonstrates exceptional Group Delay and Phase distribution, leading to improved Phase Difference of Arrival (PDoA) accuracy. This improvement supports enhanced system-level services, such as Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Time of Flight (ToF), thereby maximizing the precision of device localization and ensuring secure communication with the device. This antenna is ideally suited for UWB applications including smart access, indoor asset tracking, and automotive uses.
Crystal resonator CX2016SA38400H0FRNC1
CX2016SA (2.0x1.6mm) is an industry standard size and is fully compatible with other suppliers. The 38.4MHz version is recommended by Qorvo for the IC DW3300Q, with +/- 10ppm at room and +/-25ppm over temp.
KYOCERA AVX has established a supply system from two bases, Japan and Vietnam, in preparation for future increases in demand. Other standard sizes are available upon customer request.
Advanced UWB Test Services
KYOCERA AVX provides advanced testing capabilities for UWB systems. Besides the traditional antenna testing: return loss, efficiency, polarization, radiation patterns, KYOCERA AVX can help improve the full UWB system accuracy for AoA (Angle of Arrival) / ToF (Time of Flight) by optimizing:
KYOCERA AVX has 5 global design centers with 25+ testing capabilities to support customers from the design phase to mass production of their devices.
