Pinpoint is a spin-off of the Technical University of Chemnitz - Germany. Founded in 2021 by a group of post doc engineers with more than 30 years' experience in synchronization and positioning algorithms of UWB networks.
Due to standardization UWB becomes mature for mass markets. We believe in precise positioning for indoor navigation and way-finding in everybody's pocket. Affordable UWB positioning will simplify the interaction between people and smart buildings profoundly. Pinpoint provides self-synchronization of wireless UWB networks with Nano second accuracy enabling UWB coverage where people flow matters. Smartphone navigation at crowded places will be funded by future micro-locations services. To speed up time to market Pinpoint offers modules with UWB sync-stack for FiRa compliant smart devices, SDK for fast app development and prototyping kits for showrooms and pilot projects.
SATlets
SATlets provide highly synchronous ultra-wideband (UWB) positioning signals using the reverse TDOA method, allowing compatible UWB receivers to position themselves with up to 30 cm accuracy.
Key features:
TRACElets
TRACElets are reverse TDOA or downlink TDOA capable UWB receivers. Positioning is performed on the device and is therefore private by design. In addition to the TRACElet devices themselves, the Pinpoint TRACElet firmware can be distributed as part of the DWM1001 and DWM3001 modules.
Key Features:
Prototyping Kit
Pinpoint’s Prototyping Kit incorporates FiRa Downlink TDoA-compatible technology (FiRa 2.0 certified). This cost-effective solution features Qorvo’s DWM3001C module, aiming to provide global access to high-precision indoor navigation services. The comprehensive, wireless, and battery-powered kit equips developers with the necessary setup tools and mobile SDKs (iOS, Android, and Flutter) for fast and efficient prototyping.
