SANTA CLARA, Calif., – September 15, 2017 – Ayla Networks, a global Internet of Things (IoT) platform for manufacturers, and Qorvo® (NASDAQ: QRVO), a leading provider of innovative RF solutions that connect the world, today announced they are jointly pursuing the development of cellular-based IoT gateways for telecommunications service providers and mobile operators that provide home automation services.
Qorvo will showcase an Ayla-powered Smart Home Gateway solution at the IBC 2017 show, on September 15-19, 2017, at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre in Hall 1, Booth 1.A46.
The gateway is powered by the Qorvo GP712 System-on-Chip, which provides concurrent support for Thread and ZigBee® on different RF channels. This enables designers to use a single transceiver on their gateway products to simultaneously serve ZigBee 3.0, Thread, ZigBee RF4CE and ZigBee Green Power in a single radio.
