The AWMF-0239 is Qorvo’s latest CMOS Ka-band transmit (Tx) SATCOM beamformer IC covering 27.5 to 31 GHz with four, dual polarization radiating elements that can support full polarization flexibility. With higher output power than previous generations, more accurate temp sensing and a new compact package, the new AWMF-0239 sets a new industry benchmark in CMOS beamformers for satellite communications.

The AWMF-0239 is complemented with the K-band Receive (Rx) SATCOM beamformer IC: AWMF-0238. Using AWMF-0238 and AWMF-0239 together, satellite user terminal providers can now achieve industry’s smallest, lowest power, highest efficiency and cost-effective phased array active antennas.

    AWMF-0239 Developer Kit

    AWMF-0239 Developer Kit

Qorvo's AWMF-0239-DL developer kit includes all hardware and software required to interface to the AWMF-0239. The kits enable full evaluation and RF testing of the developer kit with easily defined user interfaces. The test board has been carefully designed to easily replicate the performance of the device and to provide the necessary channel to channel isolation.

Calibration data is included to enable the removal of test board line losses. The SPI control is supported through a high-speed cable, interposer board and USB interface module. Driver software is supplied to provide control from a PC.

DC power is supplied to the test board through a separate cable assembly. A full set of measured data is included to provide reference performance for each Developer Kit.

Evaluation of the AWMF-0240 with the developer kit will significantly shorten the time to become familiar with the operation and performance of the product, thereby reducing system development time and cost.
