Qorvo's RF9830B is a quad-band GSM/GPRS transmit module with five interchangeable UMTS or GSM receive ports and integrated power management for 3G power amplifiers. The GSM amplifier supports GSM 850, 900, DCS, and PCS Class 12 transmit. The five switch ports are UMTS transmit and receive capable and they can be used interchangeably as GSM receive ports. The 3G power management is designed to supply multi-state UMTS linear power amplifiers with VCC for improved medium and low power mode efficiency. This single placement module eliminates the need for a discrete antenna switch module, the associated matching network and allows improved UMTS transmit efficiency without placing a separate DC to DC convertor. All RF ports are designed for direct connection to 50 ohm circuitry.
