GREENSBORO, NC – January 3, 2023 – Qorvo^® (Nasdaq: QRVO), a leading global provider of connectivity and power solutions, will showcase an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) based indoor navigation demonstration running on a commercially-available smartphone at CES^®2023 (#CES2023). Indoor navigation systems provide a highly accurate network of devices to locate people or objects where GPS and other satellite technologies lack precision or fail entirely, such as inside multistory buildings, parking garages and underground locations.

The navigation demonstration leverages Qorvo’s DW3720 UWB solution integrated in a smartphone and DW3000-based anchors and location expertise from Pinpoint GmbH, a startup company in Chemnitz, Germany. This technology enables the accurate, secure and reliable positioning data required for today's navigation systems. The underlying implementation uses an algorithm, Downlink Time Difference of Arrival (DL-TDoA), making a smartphone’s exact location available to the user by precisely estimating temporal differences of multiple UWB signals.
