Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a format designed for easily sharing news headlines and other web-based content. When you subscribe to an RSS feed, you will be notified when new content is available so you don't have to repeatedly check a website for updates. You can choose the information you wish to subscribe to and can unsubcribe at any time.
You will need an RSS feed reader (also called a news aggregator). This can be a program on your computer or mobile device or a website that contains this functionality. Many browsers and mail applications contain built-in RSS readers.
To subscribe to an RSS feed, you typically will need to click on its link or copy-and-paste the URL into your RSS feed reader. Please see your RSS feed reader's documentation for specific instructions.
RSS functions on most browsers without any necessary modifications. Please select the RSS feed link and the RSS feed will be added to your browser. For Google Chrome, an extension is required to successfully view the feed. Go to Google's extension site, select the blue "+ Free" icon, follow the instructions and the extension will be added to your Chrome browser for optimal viewing of RSS feeds.
