Qorvo’s intelligent motor controllers are tailor-made for battery-driven power tools and their demanding requirements. Many popular tools in this area have very small size and high power which make a challenging system design. These tools range up to 24 V and must drive hundreds of amperes in a very small form factor, usually fitting the controller PCB into the handle of the tool. Our family of controllers, with their high level of performance and analog integration, is an ideal platform for this type of high power yet compact system.
Power tool battery chargers and AC line-powered corded tools can greatly benefit from the low on-resistance and excellent switching speed of Qorvo's high-voltage SiC FETs and Schottky diodes to achieve high-density designs.
