Ultra-wideband (UWB), an RF wireless technology, enables a myriad of new or enhanced applications that require highly accurate location and distance sensing. In automotive applications, it’s currently being used in the Car Connectivity Consortium’s Digital Key Release 3 specification and will soon be included in areas such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and connected autonomous vehicle (CAV) sensor suites. This session will cover the latest in UWB technology and vehicular use cases for critical passenger safety, identity validation and security, and vehicle-to-everything (V2X).
