The QPC7330 is a 75 Ohm, I2C controlled, 25 state inverse cable equalizer. It simulates the loss of various lengths of coax cable with states having 1dB through 24 dB of tilt (the tilt is measured from 108 to 1794 MHz). A low-loss bypass mode, with no equalization is included. It is a 10x14 mm laminate over mold module.

The function of the QPC7330 Inverse Cable Equalizer is to flatten out an input signal with too much uptilt in a line extender or system amp.

There are conditions that exist in the network where there is an up tilted signal entering amplifiers. The cause of this is a short cascade where amplifiers are very closly spaced or collocated. Since not every amp needs this feature a low loss bypass path is required. We have added a switched bypass mode. With the bypass mode included customers can install the QPC7330 in every LE and system amp and enable the Invers EQ function as needed. This simplifies the installation of amplifiers in the field and does not require a special amplifier to be used in short run application but allows all amps to be used in any location in the plant, no matter the cascade length.
